Being in the Pacific Ring of Fire, the Philippines experiences a bunch of typhoons and earthquakes yearly.
but lately, the government has been warning that new scientific models are predicting a huge earthquake will hit the country very soon. since earthquake predictions are notoriously flaky, we don’t know when “soon” will be. it could be next week, or 3 years from now.
still, disaster awareness is good, because most people take these things for granted, even though big typhoons and floods (not to mention regular crime) happen all the time here.
lots of people have been contributing their tips on what to prepare for the earthquake. i thought of adding my voice to this too, except this isn’t necessarily only for an earthquake. these are general tips that can be used also for other bug out type situations.
